Dr Rao Ali

Registered Manager

Dr Rao Ali is a qualified medical doctor (MD since 2003), specialised in Dermatology (2007). Dr Ali has 16 years of extensive experience in medicine, working in different settings abroad and in the UK, including hospitals, GP surgery and care sector, and also worked in different international charities through World Health Organisation (WHO).

Dr Ali opted out from National Health Services and joined in Health and Social Care in 2014 as he served his father as his carer. Dr Ali believes the time when he provided care for his father enlightened the importance of care for vulnerable in Health and Social Care. His background in medicine is a very effective channel in understanding the health and medical conditions of vulnerable, and provision of care when it is needed the most.

Dr Ali started in Health and Social Care as a carer, despite being a qualified doctor to have in depth knowledge of care in care homes. Dr Ali has gained intensive experiences through working in health and social care in different positions, including Clinical Lead to Quality Assurance Manager and as a Registered Manager.  Dr Ali has completed his profession qualification of NVQ Level 5 Diploma and ILM NVQ Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care.

Dr Ali is a strong believer of teamwork and empowering staff and maintaining the transparency at all stages of care provision as a manager. Dr Ali has up-to-date knowledge and profound base of understanding of laws and regulations practiced in UK and abroad. Dr Ali joined in Alexander House in October 2021 as Registered Home Manager, Dr Ali believes that caring with the service user at Alexander House is imperative for their well-being.

"I strongly believe we are not caring for the residents, but we are caring with them."

Dr Ali

Our residents, patients, and their families expect great service, therefore our professional and dedicated management team actively recruits people who are focused on continually improving the quality of life for the people in our care.

Our staff are as diverse and as individual as our residents and patients. We promote equal opportunities and encourage all our employees to treat one another and those we care for with honesty and respect. We aim to create a family environment in our home so our residents feel at home.

The learning doesn’t stop there. Our team have opportunities throughout their career; from refreshing their knowledge and learning new skills, to continue their personal and professional development.

We also actively encourage our people to review their performance and develop their role and to actively participate in externally accredited training and qualifications.
